Description: Pacific Quest is currently seeking to employ Pacific Quest Program Nurse right now, this career will be reside in Hawaii. The primary responsibility of the Wellness DepartmentÂ's Program Nurse is to support the Wellness Department through performing a number of scheduled and ad hoc duties under the supervision and direction of the Medical Director, and Field Director. This includes, but is not limited to:
Daily patient assessment and gathering of vital statistics to report to Medical Director
Weekly Medication Counts; Packaging and labeling of student medication and delivery to field
Communication with parents via email and phone regarding health concerns, medication needs; ordering meds as needed
Field Wellness Plan creation
Ensuring Field Wellness Plan follow through
Facilitating a weekly departmental review of students
Gathering information from Wellness Staff regarding weekly med checks and from Field Supervisors regarding Weight checks.
Communication/liaison with outside medication providers and pharmacists
Being the liaison between the outside medical provider and the Medical Director, as needed
Additional responsibilities include:
Flexibility with schedule, overtime hours when crisis situations mandate and to cover other responsibilities, and willingness to work in Ka'u, Hawaii full time
Qualifications summary
Required Qualifications Experience working in the medical field, as a RN Basic computer skills Holistic Medical Approach Valid driverÂ's license and clean driving record, ability to drive manual vehicles and use own vehicle while working (except when transporting students) Motivation to learn about wellness as it pertains to adolescent mental health disorders Ability to be a team player, to form mutually respectful relationship with staff and students and to grow professionally in meeting the challenges of this position Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug test

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching. Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include, frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
