Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:
The prior auth technician,(CPhT) takes in-coming calls ! from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgement calls to the pharmacist. Required Qualifications:
Ability to deal with a diverse customer base in a friendly and confident manner (internal and external customers). Ability to work in team environment and requires availability to work various shifts. Must be flexible, organized and have excellent communication skills (oral, written, grammar, listening). PC skills in Windows-based applications required. Ability to learn new operating systems and new communication strategies. Basic math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Ability to maintain confidentiality Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year experience in customer service or call center environment. Previous exp! erience in Pharmacy or healthcare industry preferred. Educatio! n:
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required. Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred. Must attain National Certification within 6 months of hire. Business Overview:
