Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will define and drive the sourcing and productivity agenda for Colombia.

Accountabilities

As Sourcing Lead for the Colombian Affiliate:

  • Play an enabler role between Regional GSS and local team in Colombia to align all processes and initiatives always looking to advocate for an efficient sourcing process.
  • Developing strong relationships with key team members and vendors in current and future needs.
  • Secure the availability of goods and services in strict and consistent compliance with Amgen’s requirements at minimum total cost and risk.
  • Ensure an effective and efficient local Sourcing and Supplier management process in accordance with established GSS policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure early involvement in sourcing projects.
  • Ensure effective management of local strategy development, selection, and contracting processes, supply base control and performance and the sourcing process for above threshold projects.
  • Support CFO as part of Amgen’s productivity plan in coordination with FP&A and customers.
  • Lead local RFP and vendor processes related.

Responsibilities

As Leader of local Sourcing, with respect to local selection & contracting processes:

  • Requirements definition: identify and define specific stakeholder requirements.
  • RFx definition: define evaluation/selection criteria, define, and lead RFI and RFP processes based on the Sourcing strategy.
  • Supplier Selection: evaluate and negotiate proposals, ensure, and validate selection of the best supplier.
  • Supplier Contracting: include negotiated terms and conditions as part of approved legal template.
  • Supplier evaluation & performance improvement: evaluate & establish target supplier performance.
  • Interaction with all the stakeholders.
  • Lead and update local preferred vendors lists.
  • Approves all PO´s above the GSS threshold, assuring that all documents that support the process were included.
  • Record and supervise savings goals on GSS system.

As Member of the Strategic Sourcing Team:

  • Participate in Regional Sourcing teams.
  • Category Management: participate in Global category strategy development - coordinate local category management activities.
  • Benefits tracking: develop, maintain, and report Key Performance Indicators such as efficiency that clearly reflect the achievement of objectives in each business area.
  • Drive the development and implementation of category strategies at a local level which will deliver improvements in quality, savings, and continuity of supply.
  • Be a facilitator/partner for internal clients with respect to procedures and GSS policy, assuring that they will follow them.

As Member of the local Finance Team:

  • Update Local Sourcing Guidelines & Reimbursement Guidelines based on global policies and local requirements.
  • Engage with P2P and T&E teams to align policies, processes and systems with local requirements and training.

Authority:

  • Setting sourcing strategies and plans within the Affiliate.
  • Raising Sourcing initiatives on a local and regional level and provide input to Category Managers.
  • Selection of suppliers within the Affiliate and takes decisions and control within company guidelines.
  • Setting policies and guidelines for the operational sourcing process.
  • Ensures compliance with Sourcing Policies requirements (Local and Global)
  • Suggests innovative approaches and guidelines.

Outputs:

  • Affiliates spend and supplier base analysis.
  • Local strategies, opportunities, priorities, and plans.
  • With respect to local sourcing and suppliers: Business process stakeholder requirements / RFI/RFP’s Processes and results (competition/bidding map) / Evaluation and selection criteria and cost models / Selection recommendations and decisions / Supplier performance evaluations / Supplier performance improvement plans.
  • Quarterly productivity reports ensuring that targets will be achieved.
  • Input of projects/Saving into the GSS Tool.

  • Degree and +2 years sourcing experience.
  • Has solid understanding of sourcing processes (tendering, supplier negotiations and contracting), across multiple indirect spend categories.
  • Competent in Project Management and independently develops practical solutions.
  • Ability to help shape customer’s overall strategy while understanding business goals.
  • Excellent communication skills (presentation, virtual team development, etc.) resulting in relationship building and development.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Able to work with minimal direction, ensuring quality of tasks / service provided by self and other.
  • Experience using e-procurement tools such as Scout & Ariba.
  • Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret information using different sources in order to draw and present analytic insights.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Fluent business English written and oral.
