Purdys Chocolatier is seeking a Business Analyst to join the team at our Support Office in Vancouver. The Business Analyst supports fantastic people, creating fantastic chocolates, through process and technology.
This role serves as a liaison between IT and the enterprise; you are a trusted partner who understands the big picture, aligning requirements to solutions advancing Purdys processes and technology. The primary focus will be on the customer-facing applications of Purdys, including digital channels, point of sale (POS), and marketing.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Identify solution opportunities through stakeholder interviews, industry research, and independent analysis of software and business practices
  • Utilize facilitation skills to elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, task and workflow analysis
  • Document technical and functional requirements in a clear and concise fashion, which are executable
  • Partner with stakeholders to build tangible business cases which support new features and enhancements
  • Ensure alignment between multiple business, technical, and solution providers to align on solution approach and priorities
  • Identify and present options for potential solutions
  • Support the evaluation the technical and business suitability of each option
  • Participating in assessing the priority, feasibility and impact of undertaking projects
  • Developing business cases for modifications or enhancements, summarizing and costs / benefits, and identifying measurable success criteria
  • Provide hands-on support from product development to launch
  • Build and maintain a body of work which facilitates on-going support and troubleshooting
All successful applicants must have:
  • University degree in computer science, business administration, or related discipline with a technical focus (or equivalent)
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business or System Analyst, preferably in the retail domain, with related integrated enterprise systems experience
  • Experience with INFOR's CSI/Syteline ERP is an asset
  • Exposure to enterprise resource planning, point of sale, ecommerce, marketing technology, human capital management, support office and warehouse solutions
  • Experience working with a variety of development methodologies (agile, hybrid, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of SAAS and vendor management
  • Strong decision-making skills and strong attention to detail with effective oral/written communication skills
