Job Description
This is a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) position in the engineering team. This role focusses on development of automation framework and scripts, tools, harnesses, and specialized tests for the sensor end-to-end testing and/or performance of the product. SDETs may also participate actively in design and code reviews, and collaborate with the cloud and UI teams to assure end-to-end system functionality. They may also work with cross-functional team and product management to understand the use cases and end to end scenarios.
Responsibilities:

Developing and supporting effective and reusable tests, scripts, tools and test setup for developing tests effectively; the goal is to minimize the test cycle and have an extensive coverage to test the product wrt funcitinality and/or product performance

Identify and write specialized tests on cross platforms such as Windows/Linux/Mac to ensure the quality of the system as a whole – focusing on end-to-end test/customer scenarios inclusive of API and UI automation.

Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to control risk, improve quality, and streamline release cycles in a continuous integration model

Work with cross-functional team to understand the end to end product use cases.
Requirements for the candidate:

Relevant Automation experience level 5 to 11 years.

Proven experience in test automation, extensible test development, test planning, test case designing and test execution

Hands on experience on writing quality code in any programming or scripting language at System level on either of the cross platform. Having knowledge on Python is a plus.

Hands on experience to any of the CI/CD tools and process such as Jenkins / Bamboo

Automating scenarios for System or Product’s Perf measurement is good to have
-
Knowledge of Ansible, Jira, TestRail, is good to have.

Knowledge of enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments such as AWS/GCP is a plus
