Description: Caremark is employing Pharmacy Technician right now, this position will be depute in Hawaii. Responsible (under a pharmacist's supervision) for filling prescriptions in the pharmacy accurately, timely and within specified performance standards. Processing RGMs, Reships and Return-to-Stock items as well as providing assistance with researching old orders and resolving stuck orders in the pharmacy as needed. The Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for resolving and processing exception prescriptions in the front end tech queues as needed. Assisting the pharmacist in the functions of faxing or calling prescribers for various prescription clarifications and DUR questions. Researching and resolving other system status issues utilizing PeopleSafe and PLN/PAR systems. Editing/Entering any change in data from the doctor’s response from the original prescription. Qualifications Processing and filling prescriptions to include, compounds, Optifill, manual pick, filling/labeling, bulk, cold pack, chemos, sulfers, control room, CII's and verify accuracy of fill via PPS system. Collects and maintains PPI's for RPH use. Researching, resolving and processing exception prescriptions, RGMs, Reships and Return to Stock items. Responsible for assisting the pharmacist in initiating calls to prescribers which require prescription clarifications and receiving inbound calls from prescriber’s office to process existing orders in system Research and reslove plan design issues (PLN), old or stuck orders, perform prior authorization approvals on specific orders (PAR) Generating count books and conducting cycle counts. Other duties as assigned.
Ability to read written prescriptions. Must have proficient phone and computer skills, with the ability to interact in a team environment Must be flexible and enjoy working both independently and in team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions. Must have the ability to calculate figures, rates, ratios, percents and amounts in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals Familiarity with MS Office applications Experience 1 year experience required in a pharmacy environment, featuring demonstrated ability to read and translate prescriptions. Must be familiar with a work environment which features objectives for both quantity (production) and quality. Education High School education or GED required. Pharmacy Technician Certification or state certification is required in states where mandatory. Employment Status Full Time
