Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is well recognized as Hawai‘i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 207 beds and 66 bassinetes, the nonprofit hospital is Hawai‘i’s only mater! nity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency care, neonatal and pediatric air transport and children’s specialty clinics. With a dedicated team of more than 1,300 employees and 604 physicians, the hospital is home to Kapi‘olani Women’s Center, Kapi‘olani Breast Center and Kapi‘olani Women’s Cancer Center, the state’s only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer centers. Kapi‘olani offers numerous community programs and services, such as the Kapi‘olani Child Protection Center and Sex Abuse Treatment Center, and through our affiliation with the University of Hawai‘i, we are home to the John A. Burns School of Medicine Pediatrics and OB/GYN residency programs.
The Pharmacy department is responsible for compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals, supplies, medications and large-to-small! volume parenteral, as well as providing drug information and ! education. We strive to ensure that our patients and clients receive safe and effective medication by applying the highest standards of modern pharmaceutical care.
As the Pharmacist, you will help to ensure that the Pharmacy department provides outstanding pharmaceutical knowledge and services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, supplies, medications and large and small volume parenteral. You will also provide information concerning medications to other health professionals, and monitor the safe distribution of medications to patients. We are looking for an meticulous and attentive individual who will comprehend pharmaceutical protocol, quality control and integrity, who shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.
