Current Need
McKesson U.S. Pharmaceutical is looking for a Heath Systems Account Manager based in Honolulu, HI to manage two market segments. This role is a hybrid between maintaining existing relationships and managing multi-million dollar accounts in health systems as well as retail with new business development. Must have the ability to travel 60% within th! e region.

Position Description
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion of obtaining results.
This is a highly consultative role requiring the ability to effectively lead all interactions with a variety of market segments.

Key Functions & Responsibilities:
Provides world class customer service to specific IHN’s, large Health System customers, clinics, HMO’s and other healthcare providers within an area.
Increases sales volume within existing business through account penetration and secures new business.
Ensures customer satisfaction and customer retention through consistent, productive account calls.
Responsible for up selling programs, services, and value added technologies into current customer base.
Interacts with intern! al McKesson departments on behalf of customers
Participates in sale! s team presentations where appropriate to further enhance business growth opportunities, improve selling skills, and gain knowledge about the customer base.
Represents the company by consistently demonstrating the understanding and modeling of McKesson’s ICARE shared principles.
Stays abreast of and learns about all new technical applications, products, programs, and services available to customers in the territory and for applying or utilizing them whenever appropriate or timely .
Provides customers with marketing advice, financial analysis to formulate financial plans, managed care information, competitive data and profit enhancing opportunities through sales methodologies and programs designed to point out the benefits of company products/services/technologies
Develops sales proposals, business reviews, sales presentations of specific products and services, demonstrations of products, merchandising plans, and sales promotions to grow existing business o! r capture new accounts.
Ensures on-going attention to enhancing strong relationships with key customers in order to build/maintain the credibility required to retain business long term

Minimum Requirements
5+ years sales experience

Critical Skills
4 year degree
5+ years experience servicing large complex b2b customers
Demonstrated success building successful customer relationships
Strategic problem solving and decision making ability
Experience in the retail distribution, hospital supply chain, healthcare delivery, pharmacy, or GPO
Strong communication (verbal and written)
Strong business acumen and territory management skills
Ability to effectively manage conflict
Strong aptitude to meet contractual processes and procedures
Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite including intermediate Excel
Ability to travel 60% within assigned territory

Additional Knowledge & Skills
MBA strongly desired Experience in CRM programs (salesforce.com)
Working knowledge of ! distribution in a pharmacy or in medical / health systems preferred, hospital supply chain
Pricing/contracting experience
Attention to detail
Business acumen and financial analytical skills
Organization and management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Ability to work independently as well collaboratively in a team environment
Knowledge of specific region business trends
Sales process training

Education
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements
Working Conditions: Current driver's license required. Position is home based with extensive territory travel by car (60 -75%).
Physical Requirements: Some occasional, light lifting (up to 25 lbs) required in store set-ups and other merchandising & training activities.
