Pharmacist (POB 3)

Location: O‘ahu, Hawaii

Description: The Queen's Medical Center is at present looking to employ Pharmacist (POB 3) right now, this job will be depute in Hawaii. Further informations about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides safe, effective and efficient drug distribution, monitors patient's response to drug therapy and provides reliable and relevant drug information to patients and health care professionals. Involved in business aspects to maintain a profitable company.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Essential demands include standing, walking, stooping/bending, walking on uneven ground, twisting body, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting usual weight of 3 pounds, lifting occasional weight up to 25 pounds; pushing/pulling usual weight of 40 pounds; reaching above, at and below shoulder level; frequent gripping of an object. Continuous: repetitive arm/hand motion. Occasional: sitting, periods. Operates office/pharmaceutical equipment such as typewriter, computer, telephone, dispensers, laminar flow hoods, TPN mixing machines, etc.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Subjected to noise/vibration from air conditioner, printers, time stamp machines, etc. Exposure to chemo drugs and antibiotics and chemicals; dust, odors and cleaning/ disinfectant fumes. Work environment is fast paced, congested and may be stressful due to workload. Interacts with patients, nurses, physicians and the general public. Works on multiple tasks at the same time. VI. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. Education/Certification and Licensure:
1. Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
2. Current Hawaii State license as a Pharmacist.

B. Experience:Physician’s Office Building:
1. One year experience in local retail pharmacy, preferred.

Rehab Hospital of the Pacific:
1. Experience as a hospital pharmacist, preferred.
2. Experience in unit dose and IV services, preferred.
