Needs some background here about our aggressive M&A strategy and the subsequent need to successfully integrate these organisations into Version1.
This role will form an integral part of the Integrations team with the key responsibility of planning and integrating the IT Infrastructure elements of multiple acquisitions to Version 1 platforms.
You will be responsible for leading the planning and implementation of integration activities from an IT Infrastructure perspective. This will involve working with various stakeholders in the acquired companies to gain a deep understanding of their infrastructure, educating stakeholders with Version 1 systems and processes as well as discussing and agreeing timeframes and/or phasing of integration activities.
The role will require that the Infrastructure Integration activities are dovetailed into an overall Integration plan including HR & Recruitment, Finance, Business Systems and Marketing. It is key that you gain a clear understanding of the hypothesis or reasons behind acquisitions, understand the goals of a successful integration and plan accordingly. This will require you to build good relationship with stakeholders to collaborate on a common overarching integration plan.
Additionally this role will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to constantly review and continually improve our approach to Integrations in consultation with the larger M&A team.
Direct Responsibilities
- Gain understanding of the acquired company’s infrastructure
- Formulate a technical integration plan and work with the larger Integration team to combine this plan into an overriding integration plan
- Coordinate activities with internal teams where required
- Oversee the delivery of technical plans
- Budgeting including end-user hardware and additional licencing required
Continuous Improvement
Work to influence and standardise, where possible, the integration process
This role will involve a good understanding of authentication mechanisms, networking, email systems , communications systems, cybersecurity, end-user device management, customer connectivity, development tools, code repositories, password management, and other infrastructural elements.
- Must have experience of Microsoft Technologies and Environments
- Wide understanding of different technologies used within the IT industry.
- Background in Infrastructure support/ management 5+ years
- Excellent communication Skills
