ISMMART Sports Industries, a dynamic and innovative startup in the sports industry, is establishing its presence in Istanbul, Turkey. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as the Deputy Director of Quality Control & Assurance. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to lead and oversee our quality control and assurance functions, ensure the delivery of high- quality sports products, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality control strategy aligned with the company's vision and objectives.
- Define quality standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
- Establish and maintain effective quality assurance systems to monitor and evaluate product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Conduct audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality standards and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Identify areas for process improvement to enhance product quality, efficiency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement initiatives and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to establish and maintain effective supplier quality management processes.
- Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and performance evaluations to ensure consistent quality of raw materials and components.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on quality control procedures, quality assurance systems, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of quality consciousness and continuous learning throughout the organization.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
- Monitor changes in regulations and update quality control processes accordingly.
- Lead and mentor a team of quality control professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to maximize employee potential and productivity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of at least 7 years in quality control and assurance leadership roles within the sports industry or related sectors.
- Experience in implementing quality control systems, driving process improvement, and leading teams.
- Excellent leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve quality objectives.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control and assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with quality control tools, statistical analysis, and quality improvement techniques.
- Experience in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in supplier quality management processes, including supplier assessments, audits, and performance evaluations.
- Understanding of supplier quality improvement strategies and supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to product quality and safety.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
