General Motors Israel (Herzliya) takes a significant part in shaping the autonomous vehicle. We impact the future vehicles in diverse fields by developing cutting edge technologies. Within GM Israel, over 850people working in an hybrid flexible mode on one of the most exciting challenges of our days.

We're looking for a Quality Manager to join our newly established Navigation team which is responsible for creating GM’s next generation connected and contextual navigation system, missioned to create the world's best in-car navigation experience that would run on the various vehicle and brands Infotainment displays. You will work closely with the product manager(s), user experience teams, supplier(s), and a passionate group of development and other execution and engineering teams. You'll define the testing strategy to ensure that the product we build ultimately provide accurate, reliable and safe navigation experiences for GM customers

What will YOU do?

  • Automate as much as possible
  • Set the standards of the testing artifacts (test writing, test review, test execution, bug tracking)
  • Track the testing activities within each agile scrum team and manage the quality metrics and trends
  • Align regression test coverage with the Test Automation team
  • Track & investigate production related bugs
  • Plan, build and maintain testing equipment locally and globally
  • Frequent work with Validation teams in the US (EST time)
  • Report the overall quality status on behalf of all the scrums

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Over 10 years of experience in Software Engineering or Quality Engineering with a customer-first approach
  • Exposure to working with engineering and product management teams as part of the software development process
  • A strong opinion about what makes an excellent navigation experience
  • A passion for operational excellence and quality improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work in ambiguous environments
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Exceptional written communication and technical writing skills in English
