We are looking for a highly self-motivated and committed individual to join our team to safeguard environmental public health in Singapore. You will be part of the Vector Control Operations Division, which is responsible for the planning and implementation of vector-borne diseases surveillance, prevention and control programmes. An evidence-based, integrated vector management approach underpins the work that the Division does, which requires close partnership with and concerted efforts by multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders. This is a fast-paced and dynamic working environment that requires you to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
[What you will be working on]
Your job responsibilities include:
Conduct analysis and drive actionable insights for informed decision-making in vector control operations planning and policy making.
Carry out data management, cleaning , statistical analysis, interpret results and communicate findings through visualisation and storytelling.
Distil complex data into simple visuals for presentation. Spot erroneous interpretation or weaknesses in data analysis.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to understand business needs, issues and challenges, to devise analytical studies for problem solving and recommend solutions.
Review and enhance work processes to improve efficiency and delivery of services.
Work with IT department and stakeholders to ensure system reports are functional and accurate for reporting.
[What we are looking for]
Job requirements:
Highly self-motivated with a passion for environmental public health, particularly in the control of vector-borne diseases.
Good analytical reasoning and able to perform data management and analysis work.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficient in ArcGIS for geospatial visualisation and analysis will be good
Proficienct in Python language or R programming for data analysis would be an advantage
Pay attention to the finer details.
Committed team player with good communication/interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
Organised and able to multi-task
Mature, independent and resourceful
Able to work after office hours, weekends and public holidays if required
